I went to a few horror films in high school to fit in but I didn’t like having to pretend I wasn’t scared. Nor was it pleasant sneaking off to the washroom during intermission to change into a clean pair of underwear. OK, I exaggerate. But I’ve never understood the appeal of scaring oneself just for the sake of it.
